- Biography
Post Malone, born Austin Richard Post, made his introduction with 2015 single “White Iverson,” which rapidly grew from a Soundcloud spark to a blazing 4x Platinum hit that launched the young Texas-based artist’s career. The song’s impact earned Post a deal with Republic Records, and his star has continued to rise ever since. He’s mastered the art of melding pop and hip-hop into highly listenable commercial gems, including notable collaborations with Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Quavo, 21 Savage, and Ty Dolla $ign. Following the modest success of his 2016 debut album Stoney, his 2018 follow-up Beerbongs & Bentleys broke streaming records and yielded two No. 1 singles in “Psycho” and “Rockstar,” the latter of which hit No. 1 in 10 countries, and held the top spot in the United States for eight consecutive weeks.
