- Biography
Pusha T is the unsung hero of lyrical rap; the introspective and fierce Virginia Beach MC has spent the last few decades giving the game some of the most vivid stories ever told on wax. In the early ’90s, Pusha teamed up with his brother Malice to form Clipse, a now-legendary duo that blazed the trail for artists from the Virginia area. After three successful albums, Pusha took his unapologetic street rap on the road solo and teamed up with Kanye West and G.O.O.D. Music. In 2011, he released his first solo mixtape, Fear of God. Over the years, he’s worked on classic albums like Kanye West‘s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and appeared on countless singles, including “Mercy” off the G.O.O.D. Music compilation Cruel Summer. With 2013’s critically acclaimed My Name is My Name, Pusha saw major success with singles like “Numbers On The Board” and “Sweet Serenade.” In 2015, he was appointed the president of G.O.O.D. Music and while building a stacked roster at the Def Jam imprint, he’s diligently at work on his highly anticipated King Push album. In Summer of 2018, he released his third studio album, DAYTONA to overwhelming critical acclaim.
